It was a great pleasure hosting Greenwich, one of the newly established London clubs, for the fifth instalment of our club head to head series.
The Greenwich team enthusiasm, spirit and excitement were great to see (4 of their gang pictured) and after the first 2 rounds of play it could have gone either way.
At the end of the day (is that enough of a reference to time with Greenwich involved?) clean sheets from Ealing players Peter Benson and Yas and 2 out of 3 wins for Mihail and Merzad, meant Ealing was able to clinch it 15-9. We look forward to the return leg in Greenwich!
There was also regular tournament play on Monday with Henry Keane and Zigi Fibert winning the 2 Swiss tournaments and Sion Edwards winning the Knockout.
Congratulations to all the winners and a big thank you to all 34 players that turned out for a big evening of backgammon.
