The BGiE team in York last year - we got knocked out in the quarter finals

It's 4 months until the UK Clubs Championship takes place in York on 27 July and there are already 25 teams registered, so it's time to get ourselves organised and committed!

Unbelievably, Ealing has never won the trophy, despite fielding star-studded teams and having some of the best team names imaginable (Dancing on the C-Ealing, No SquEaling spring to mind.)

So, here's your chance to become part of club history by being on an Ealing team and bringing the trophy home!

If you'd like to represent Ealing this year, please read the details and sign up here no later than 7 April. We will send as many teams as there are groups of 5 players that want to play.

BGiE will pay the registration fee of £10 for each player, players will each need to pay the £20 entry fee which goes towards prize money.

The round up of play this Monday past is that we played 3 Swiss tournaments, won by Peter Benson, Martin Sher and Bill Pope - congratulations to all of them and a big thank you to everyone who turned out for another great evening of backgammon!

We look forward to seeing you again next Monday, the last day of March and our first of the year with daylight saving. Soon we will be playing out in the garden....
